Odey Asset Management has hired Robert Marshall-Lee to lead a new global emerging markets team.
Marshall-Lee will join in March 2021 and the team will manage long-only equity funds.
He joins from Newton Investment Management where he was lead portfolio manager of the BNY Mellon Global Emerging Markets Fund and the BNY Mellon Oriental Fund.
The appointment marks the first external appointment in the development of Odey’s new international and institutional business range, the firm said.
