Investment manager Ninety One has appointed Paul Gooden to its natural resources team.
Subject to regulatory approval, Paul will serve as co-Portfolio Manager of the Global Natural Resources strategy, alongside George Cheveley and Dawid Heyl. Based in London, he will also lead the natural resources team.
Paul’s appointment coincides with Tom Nelson stepping down from his portfolio management duties to focus on his family business, though he will remain with the firm in an advisory capacity. George and Dawid have managed the Global Natural Resources strategy since its inception in 2008.

He has also held roles with Subsea 7, RBS Global Markets and Morgan Stanley. Paul holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from St John’s College, Cambridge University.
Mimi Ferrini, co-chief investment officer at Ninety One, said: “Paul brings with him an extensive understanding of natural resources, especially the energy sector.”
