Newton Investment Management has appointed Laura Curtis as head of global product and marketing, based in London.
The firm also appointed Britta Hion as head of North American distribution. Both roles are newly created.
Curtis was previously chief marketing officer for Europe at Vanguard Asset Management. Prior to that, she held senior leadership roles across product and marketing at Jupiter and AllianceBernstein.
Hion joins from Barings, where she was head of North America distribution. Prior to this, she spent 12 years at Blackrock, where she held a number of roles including global co-head of the alternatives client platform, and before that she was at Schroders.
Curtis joins the Newton executive management committee and will be based in London, reporting to Euan Munro, CEO of Newton. Hion will be based in New York and will report to Tjeerd Voskamp, global head of distribution.
Euan Munro said: “We are delighted to welcome Laura and Britta to Newton. As we look to enhance our footprint as a global asset manager, their combined expertise in leadership, sales and product management, alongside established network relationships, will be invaluable in helping us to continue to deliver our clients’ desired investment outcomes.”
