SuMi Trust AM, the $748bn asset management firm with Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group, has appointed Kei Ohashi as head of investment management in London, following the return to Japan of Hirofumi Hayashi.
Ohashi, who has 14 years’ industry experience, will lead client services in Europe. Hayashi will take on a new role in Tokyo focused on global asset management business growth and client services for international investors.
The London office is led by managing director Hiroki Moritani and is responsible for SuMi Trust AM’s investment management business in the EMEA region, including global business development, product management and ESG engagement activities.
