Neptune Investment Management has hired the former CEO of M&G Investments as a special adviser for its distribution strategy following a restructure.
The appointment of Michael McLintock, who was M&G’s CEO for nearly two decades, follows the departure of Charlie Parker, head of distribution, who is moving to work for a Neptune client after a restructuring of his role. Parker is joining Sanlam UK.
Neptune says Parker “remains a shareholder and a friend” of the firm.
McLintock will work closely with Neptune’s distribution team and senior management on a permanent basis and will also advise the firm on strategy.
In a further move, Neptune said it has an “impending appointment” of a senior external salesperson who will take responsibility for key client relationships. The firm said this was to “show our ongoing commitment to our in-house sales team”.
Last year, Neptune appointed LGBR Capital to broaden its reach across independent financial advisers.

Parker said he had “enormous confidence” that Neptune would deliver business growth and good client service in the years ahead.
