Morningstar has appointed Michael Diamantopoulos as associate director, fixed income and currency, within its new multi-asset research team, as part of its ongoing expansion of investment research capabilities.
Based in London, he will focus on fixed income and currency strategy across asset classes.
Diamantopoulos brings over 20 years of experience in global fixed income fund management. He joined from Ninety One, where he was a portfolio manager specialising in emerging markets debt.
Diamantopoulos’ knowledge of emerging markets and currency dynamics is expected to support the firm’s goal of delivering superior risk-adjusted returns across a diversified investment universe.
He will focus on blending qualitative and quantitative research to inform tactical allocation and enhance return potential within multi-asset frameworks. “Diamantopoulos’ industry knowledge will be instrumental as Morningstar continues to enhance its investment solutions for clients,” stated Morningstar.
