Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) has launched what it is calling a global stars fund.
The Luxembourg-domiciled SICAV is a concentrated portfolio of 20-50 high quality, growth-tilted companies which seeks emerging and established companies with strong growth trajectories – companies that, over time, are likely to win market share by design.
The fund’s investment approach focuses on business excellence, generally characterised by the creation and nurturing of intangible assets, which in turn support high return, incremental capital deployment.
Managed by Alex Gabriele and Richard Perrott – portfolio managers and members of the International Equity Team – the fund benefits from their propriety research and insights from the broader international equity team.
Alex Gabriele, lead portfolio manager, said: “While the investment environment has been far more exciting than one would hope as a bottom-up fundamental manager, our ownership of winning franchises that have continued to deliver significant operating performance – notwithstanding all the real-world uncertainty – has underpinned the first year of compounding in the strategy. We are excited to bring a SICAV fund to the market, offering more client access to our approach.”
