Morgan Stanley Investment Management has launched an Article 8 – compliant Floating Rate Global Asset Backed Securities Fund, which minimises exposure to changing interest rates.
The fund invests in high credit quality floating rate asset-backed securities across all sectors and geographies, including mortgage-backed securities, covered bonds and other investment-grade investments.
The fund will incorporate a sustainability-related risks and opportunities assessment to determine impacts on credit fundamentals and implications for valuation and spreads.
With 30 years of experience in securitised business, Gregory Finck will be heading the fund.
Finck said the fund would protect investors against rising interest rates alongside ensuring attractive returns.
