Mirabaud Asset Management has made a senior hire for its UK wholesale team, with Elliot Fowles joining from Aviva Investors.
At Aviva Investors Fowles served as senior business development director for 10 years.
Prior to joining Aviva Investors in 2010, he had held positions at HSBC Global Asset Management as head of private bank distribution and at Arbuthnot Latham & Co and DWS Group.
At Mirabaud AM, Fowles’ addition is part of continued efforts to develop the sales and distribution team’s commitment to serving clients in the UK market.
Fowles will join Mirabaud AM on 18 July and will report to Benjamin Carter, head of UK Wholesale at Mirabaud AM.
Carter commented on the appointment: “The addition of such an experienced and practiced professional such as Elliot will be a great boost to our relationship building in the UK Wholesale market, further progressing our ability to provide clients with high conviction, sustainable investment solutions.”
In September last year, Mirabaud AM made a significant move towards a greater presence in the UK market with the appointment of Carter as head of UK Wholesale. Carter joined from Aviva Investors.
Michael Wang joined Mirabaud AM’s Global Emerging Market (GEM) Equities team as a senior analyst/ deputy portfolio manager. Meanwhile, Elena Bignami joined the Responsible Investment team as an ESG analyst.
