London-based M&G Investments has named Andrew Chorlton as the chief investment officer of its £139 billion fixed income division.
He will succeed Jim Leaviss, who has decided to leave M&G to pursue personal interests in academia following a 27-year career with the firm.
Currently head of fixed income at Schroders and member of the group’s management committee, Chorlton will join the M&G later this and will report to Joseph Pinto, CEO of M&G Investments.
M&G’s fixed income division had £139bn of AuM as of 31 December 2023.
