Spanish asset manager has named Ismael Garcia Puente as its deputy director of investment strategy.
In the newly created role, Garcia Puente will be responsible for coordinating the investment strategy of Mapfre AM and its various subsidiaries.
He will also oversee the management of specialist funds, market analysis and asset allocation.
This will be in addition to his existing responsibility for managing Mapfre’s wealth management networks and life insurance portfolios.
García Puente will report to F. Javier Lendines, general manager at Mapfre AM.
Garcia Puente has been with the firm since 2011 and has serviced as head of investments at Mapfre Inversion, the firm’s life insurance arm.
