Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) has launched a dedicated sustainable investment platform in partnership with Systemiq.
The platform, holistiQ Investment Partners (holistiQ), will deploy capital for net-zero and environmental themes, using both public and private markets.
Taraneh Azad, managing partner of Systemiq, and Jean-Pascal Porcherot, Lombard Odier managing partner, jointly lead the platform, which the involves a firm of around 100 people from both LOIM and Systemiq.
Jeremy Oppenheim, founding/senior partner of Systemiq, said most of the $5-6 trillion in capital needed every year to “build a net positive global economy” will be private capital.
The announcement comes following findings published by unofficial watchdog ShareAction this week that European asset managers lead in tackling climate change globally.
