London-based asset manager Liontrust has appointed Bernhard Klocke to its international sales team.
Klocke, who has been appointed international sales director, was previously managing director of SKY Harbor Capital Management.
He will focus on the Nordic region, Germany, Austria and the German-speaking parts of Switzerland.
Klocke will work with James Beddall and Antonio Forte in selling Liontrust’s Ireland-based range of funds to the institutional and wholesale distribution markets across continental Europe.
Ian Chimes, head of global distribution at Liontrust, said the firm had been growing its client base in continental Europe and the new appointment would help it continue its expansion.
Chimes added: “Over the last year, we have added sustainable investment and global fixed income teams and these asset classes are key to the markets covered by Bernhard.”
