UK-based Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Sonja Laud (pictured) to the newly created role of deputy chief investment officer.
Based in London, she will report to chief investment officer Anton Eser.
The firm has also appointed William Riley as head of solutions, another newly created position, reporting to Laud.
Laud joins from Fidelity International, where she was head of equity and a member of its global equity management team.
Riley was most recently head of client solutions at BlackRock.
Subject to regulatory approval, both Laud and Riley will take up their new positions in January 2019.
