German family officer Lennertz & Co has unveiled its third fund of funds dedicated to distributed ledger or blockchain technology.
The Blockchain Fund III provides access to a number of blockchain venture funds.
According to Lennertz & Co, the fund is focused on investing in companies that build and develop blockchain infrastructure, setting it apart from the multiple funds dedicated to cryptocurrencies.

In total, the fund of funds’ portfolio covers around 350 companies from Europe and the US.
The first of the firm’s three blockchain funds was launched in 2020 with a second following two years later.
“In addition to artificial intelligence, defence and security, and impact investing – blockchain technology is one of the most attractive investment themes for the coming decades, and will dominate both the economy and society,” said Philipp Lennertz, managing partner at Lennertz & Co.
