Lazard Asset Management has appointed Gordon McKemie as Managing Director and Head of Leveraged Loans and High-Yield.
Based in New York, he will lead the development of a dedicated leveraged loans capability within Lazard’s Fixed Income platform and partner closely with the U.S. high-yield team to expand the firm’s credit offering for clients.
McKemie reports into Arnaud Brillois, Global Head of Fixed Income for Lazard Asset Management.
He brings nearly 20 years of experience across leveraged loans, high-yield, and multi‑asset credit strategies.
The exec joins Lazard from Blackstone Credit & Insurance, where he served as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager within the Liquid Credit Strategies group.
During his tenure there, he managed several public credit vehicles, helped develop multi‑asset investment frameworks, and led initiatives focused on improving credit agreement standards through industry collaboration. He previously held roles in leveraged finance and credit research at Citigroup and Barclays Capital.

As of December 31, 2025, Lazard’s asset management businesses managed approximately $254 billion of client assets.
