Luxembourg-based fund reporting firm Kneip has appointed Gary Janaway (pictured), formerly of Schroders, as its chief operating officer.
Janaway joins Kneip after 26 years at Schroders, where he was most recently director of operations in the UK asset manager’s large Luxembourg operations hub.
Janaway’s Schroders role involved distribution support, fund administration, fund performance, project management and transfer agency services, among other functions.
He has served on various fund and management boards. As a member of Schroders’ European fund services committee, he was involved in formulating and delivering the strategy to provide services to Schroder´s investment fund ranges in Europe and Asia.
Kneip hopes that Janaway will use his experience to increase operational efficiency and aid with the firm’s “digital transformation”.
The firm, which specialises in electronic fund filing and reporting to regulators and investors, recently hired a former Skype executive to help boost its digital capabilities.
