J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPAM) has introduced the JPMorgan Active Global Aggregate Bond Ucits ETF (ticker: JAGG) on 18 October 2023 in London.
This active fixed-income ETF offers a diversified view of global fixed income based on the firm’s global aggregate bond strategy, which, since its 2009 inception, oversees over $11 billion in assets as of 31 August 2023.
Benchmarked to the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Index Total Return USD Unhedged, JAGG provides a comprehensive allocation, encompassing government, corporate, emerging market and other bond sectors across 25 currency markets, said JPAM.
JAGG’s management includes Myles Bradshaw, Iain Stealey and Linda Raggi and is backed by a research team of over 70. The ETF aims to employ a blend of bottom-up and top-down strategies, targeting long-term benchmark outperformance after deducting fees.
JAGG is categorised as Article 8 under the EU SFDR regulation.
Travis Spence, head of Emea ETF distribution at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, said: “Active fixed income ETFs can capitalise on numerous factors that impact bond prices and move markets, including economic and market cycles and central bank actions across both government and corporate securities.
“An active strategy can adjust interest rate exposure and sector allocation through the cycle, enabling investors to own cheaper securities and underweight expensive ones while maintaining a stable bond beta.”
