Investec Asset Management has expanded its Italian sales team with a specialist for institutions and fund buyers.
The role goes to Andrea Panfili, who joins as sales director.
Italy’s fund market has benefited fund managers such as Amundi in recent months, but saw large redemptions in September.
Panfili previously worked at Capital Strategies Partners, where he was head of institutional business for Italy and Ticino.
Panfili’s career has also spanned Anthilia Capital Partners, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Alliance Bernstein and Eurizon Capital.
Panfili will report to Gianluca Maione, who is country head of Italy.
“Widening our team will allow us to manage relationships with investors more effectively, responding to and fulfilling their needs,” said Maione.
