iM Global Partner, an asset manager, has hired Simon Frey to be director of distribution in Switzerland. The appointment is part of a wider move to expand in Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea).
The company has also promoted Julien Froger to managing director of distribution for Emea as part of its business development expansion plans.
Frey has joined the firm from Swiss Rock Asset Management where he was head of sales and client relations. He has also held roles at Mirabaud Asset Management, Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Complementa Investment-Controlling.
Froger, meanwhile, joined the company five years ago and has worked on growing its footprint in the Emea region. In his new role, he will be responsible for maintaining key relationships and expanding into new countries where iM Global Partners does not have any physical representation.
Jamie Hammond, deputy CEO – head of Emea, said: “iM Global Partner has enjoyed very impressive growth since it was formed by establishing long-term partnerships with ‘best-in-class’ asset managers.
“Switzerland is a very important market for us. It is one of the most competitive places in the world for asset management and clients are very receptive to our business model. Simon will be instrumental in servicing our existing clients and expanding our business further”.
