Swedish fund manager Handelsbanken Fonder has named Emma Viotti as acting chief executive while it looks for a permanent replacement.
She has stepped in to replace Magdalena Wahlqvist Alveskog, who has stepped down after 33 years at the firm.
Viotti currently serves as deputy CEO and head of products.
According to the fund manager, the asset management arm at one of Sweden’s largest banks, the search for a permanent replacement has begun.
Meanwhile, Handlesbanken Fonder chairman, Carl Cederschiold, paid tribute to Wahlqvist Alveskog whose “wealth of experience and expertise have long made significant positive contributions to Handlesbanken Fonder’s development”.
