Gresham House has bolstered its UK housing team with two senior appointments.
Claire Cooper joins as director of shared ownership operations, bringing over 14 years of experience in the affordable homeownership sector, particularly in shared ownership developments. Her previous role was head of homeownership at Peabody.
Matthew Painter has been appointed as director of development and delivery, with 11 years of experience in property development. He has managed residential real estate projects valued at £500 million across the UK and Europe. His most recent position was Senior Development Manager at CA Ventures.
These hires come as Gresham House continues to expand its investment offerings in the housing sector.
Mike Adams, managing director, real estate, Gresham House, said, “The investment we are making in our housing team at this time reflects the strength of demand we are seeing from investors and the long-term opportunity set in UK housing.
“Claire and Matthew both bring a wealth of expertise to their new roles at Gresham House and will drive continued growth across our shared ownership and build-to-rent portfolios at a time when both sectors are crucial to addressing the UK’s housing crisis.”
