Asset manager GQG Partners has appointed John Ormesher to the newly created role of director of wholesale (UK), based in London.
Ormesher will report to director, head of wholesale (UK & Ireland), Daniel Lee.
Prior to joining GQG Partners, Ormesher was the head of distribution for the fund business at Ardevora Asset Management. He also worked as a client advisor at BlueMountain Capital Management, covering the UK, Nordics and the Middle East. His career began at Aberdeen Standard Investments, where he held various roles, including associate director of UK institutional business development.
Lee mentioned that as the funds adjust to the evolving market conditions, the firm continues to receive support from investors within the UK’s wholesale channel. “We continue to see support for our three Ucits funds in the UK as investors recognise the advantages these investment strategies may bring to their portfolios. With this appointment, we hope to progress with key fund selectors and increase our client coverage throughout the UK market,” he added.
Ormesher shared his plans to “discuss GQG’s current and future suite of genuinely active funds with investors.”
