Governance.com has announced a leadership change, with founder Bert Boerman stepping into the role of chairman and director of strategic growth and Ian Atkinson, the former COO & CCO, appointed the new CEO.
The firm, a process automation platform, said Atkinson’s promotion follows his contributions to the company’s client implementations and business development over the past two years.
Bert Boerman, who co-founded Governance.com with his twin brother a decade ago, expressed confidence in the transition, highlighting its importance for the company’s focus on innovation and client services in the asset management industry.
Boerman said, “Handing over the leadership of a company you have co-founded is not a step to be taken lightly. But since we are in the business of change, we know that different phases of a company’s evolution require different leadership approaches.
