The 22nd annual Funds Europe Awards ceremony taking place on 12th November 2026 at the London Hilton Bankside will recognise various categories from the world of asset management as it celebrates the best and the brightest from the pan-European cross-border funds industry. Here’s looking at some of the categories:
Digital Assets Fund Administrator / Back Office Solution of the Year: This category recognises data and technology vendors, fund administrators, service providers, and consultants that support digital asset funds through administration, accounting, reporting, and infrastructure. Entrants should demonstrate excellence in one key area—such as digital asset accounting and Nav calculation, regulatory compliance and security, tokenisation and fund structuring, investor services and reporting, or technology and operations—while ensuring security, operational efficiency, and compliance with MiCA, Ucits, and AIFMD, and supporting the growing use of distributed ledger technology and blockchain in cross-border markets.
European Digital Custodian of the Year: Winning entries should demonstrate achievements during the 12 months to 31 March 2026 and provide relevant asset information (for example, AUA for administrators). Judges will look for evidence of business wins or renewals, European domicile coverage, asset classes supported, innovative practices and investment in new technology or infrastructure, and contributions to industry-wide thought leadership or research, as appropriate to the entrant’s sector.
European FundsTech Provider of the Year: Middle Office: This category is open to technology vendors, fund administrators and service providers, fund managers, and consultants, either individually or through partnerships. Entrants should demonstrate exceptional support in one area of middle-office operations—such as trade support and affirmation, reconciliation and data integrity, risk management and compliance, technology and data management, or T+1 readiness—showing how operational excellence enables front-office speed. Strong entries will include quantifiable evidence of impact and demonstrate how technology reduces friction between the front and back office.
European Index Provider of the Year: This category recognises providers of benchmarks for the cross-border funds industry. Entrants should demonstrate innovation and breadth across asset classes, including ESG, thematic and crypto indices, alongside proven performance, tracking accuracy, data integrity, client adoption and asset growth, compliance with benchmark regulations such as the EU Benchmark Regulation, and excellence in client support and data delivery.
European Transfer Agent of the Year: Winning entries should demonstrate achievements during the 12 months to 31 March 2026 and provide relevant asset information (for example, AUA for administrators). Judges will look for evidence of business wins or renewals, European domicile and asset class coverage, innovative practices and investment in technology or infrastructure, and contributions to industry thought leadership or research, as appropriate to the entrant’s sector.

This year’s awards are grouped across 10 sections recognising key people in the industry, products and services, including recognition of front, middle and back office fundstech, data & data management, innovation & disruption, and index providers.
These Awards are fully independently judged by experts in the industry, who will come together for two days in the autumn to consider entries across all categories, with the winners announced on the night of the Awards ceremony. With over 550 industry practitioners attending, this event is a key celebration of the European cross border funds industry.
