Fidelity International has appointed Andrew McCaffery as global chief investment officer for the firm’s asset management business, succeeding Bart Grenier who has held the post since January last year.
Grenier is stepping down from the role and returning to the US in February 2020 to take up a senior position at Fidelity Investments, the US arm of the company.
McCaffery joined Bermuda- based Fidelity International in July this year as global chief investment officer for the firm’s alternatives and solutions business. He has also acted as Grenier’s deputy.
With over 30 years’ experience, McCaffery has experience working across investment, risk management and client distribution.
Prior to joining Fidelity International, he spent eight years at Aberdeen Standard Investments in a range of senior roles including global head of strategic client investments and global head of alternatives.
