Fairway, a private client, corporate, funds and pension services provider, has appointed Christina Gates as client director in its funds division.
Gates previously led the Jersey office of a leading litigation funder for nearly a decade, acting as director for corporate entities across Jersey, Luxembourg and Malta.
Before that, she spent 20 years managing fiduciary structures and assets from both Jersey and Geneva.
At Fairway, she will focus on delivering administration, corporate secretarial, accounting and trustee director services to funds, managed entities and corporate investment structures. The firm said her broad background provides “a wealth of transferable skills” that will strengthen its growing funds team.
Gates holds a diploma and certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors, a diploma in Trust and Estate Practice from the Institute of Financial Services and the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management from Central Law Training International.
Fund selector’s view: Spotting risks before they rise
Alistair Rothwell, CEO, Fairway, commented: “Christina’s appointment is another significant step in the expansion of our funds practice. Her deep experience across fiduciary and fund services, combined with her leadership and client-first mindset, will be invaluable as we continue to grow our platform and meet the evolving needs of our clients.”
Christina said: “I am looking forward to getting to know our clients and structures, and to working alongside our brilliant Funds team. With my background in trust, corporate and fund services, I feel I can bring a wealth of transferable skills to support and enhance Fairway’s offering. Fairway’s culture and values contribute to a strong foundation for the business and were a key reason why I decided to progress my career with them. There are clear synergies between Fairway’s goals and my own and I am excited to help progress these.”
