Global ETF assets under management (AUM) were buoyed by high August inflows to stay above the $10 trillion mark.
ETFGI, which collects ETF data, said the global ETF industry saw AUM move from US$ 9.3 trillion at the end of 2022, to $10.7 trillion at the end of August.
This was a 15.5% rise and followed $64.6 billion in net inflows in August.
The year-to-date net inflow figure reach $529 billion – the third highest on record.
Assets in ETFs crossed the $10 trillion mark through May-June and the ETF AUM of $10.7 trillion compares to overall net assets of worldwide investment funds of around $70 trillion– a figure calculated by the European Fund and Asset Management Association.
