Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has hired Gad Amar as global head of business development.
Amar was previously head of client distribution for France, Belgium and Luxembourg at BlackRock.
He will be based in Paris, sit on the executive committee and report to Vincent Taupin, global CEO asset management and chairman of the executive board at Edmond de Rothschild (France).
Taupin said Amar’s grasp of the company’s core markets and players would help it harness its diverse and distinctive investment management offer.
Rothschild Group’s asset management division had €57 billion under management at December 31 2016.
