East Capital, a Swedish emerging and frontier market asset management firm, has entered into a research agreement with a Latin American financial advisory and investment firm, HMC Capital.
Under the agreement, HMC Capital will provide Latin American investment research to support East Capital’s emerging markets investments.
HMC Capital will also support East Capital’s investment team and work directly with the team members specialising on Latin America.
The two companies have worked together since 2010 when HMC Capital was appointed to distribute East Capital’s investment products to institutional clients including pension funds and family offices across Latin America.
Ricardo Morales, chairman of HMC Capital, said the two firms shared the same approach and thinking on the emerging markets universe and on in-depth research and integrating sustainability factors.
