Digital asset securities firm Securitize has secured $48 million (€40.2 million) in funding from the likes of Morgan Stanley and other Wall Street firms ahead of its latest product launch.
The US-based company is set to launch Securitize Market, a blockchain-based platform for issuing and trading digital securities that is focused on private capital markets.
Notably, the investors in this series B funding round will receive their shares via digital asset securities issued on the Securitize platform.
Securitize has also recently launched an asset management subsidiary Securitize Capital as well as its first two cryptocurrency yield funds.
Pedro Teixeira, co-head, Morgan Stanley tactical value investing, who joins the Securitize board, said: “Our investment in Securitize is a sign that we believe in the growth and adoption of digital asset securities.”
