Columbia Threadneedle Investments has appointed Fanni Pfeningberger as active ETF business development manager, a newly created role based in Vienna with responsibility for continental Europe.
Pfeningberger will support the development of the firm’s active ETF business, working alongside sales teams and focusing on ETF-related expertise and new client channels. She joined from BlackRock, where she led institutional and wealth sales across Central and Eastern Europe, working across active and passive strategies, portfolio solutions, alternatives, and technology partnerships.

Pfeningberger holds degrees in finance and technology management and innovation. She recently completed the CFA Certificate in Private Markets and Alternative Investments.
The appointment follows Columbia Threadneedle’s recent launch of its CT Quant Redefined Active ETF Series. The funds are currently listed on Deutsche Börse Xetra, Six Swiss Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.
