Carmignac Gestion has hired Matthew Wright as head of country UK, part of its strategy to build a sales team of the UK.
Wright joins from LV= Asset Management, where he was head of sales.
At Carmignac, Wright will focus on developing the asset manager’s relations with financial distributors and wealth managers in the UK.
He will be leading and building-up its sales team for the UK with a view to opening Carmignac Gestion’s permanent office in the City of London in next month.
Earlier this year, LV= announced to outsource its asset management business to Threadneedle Investments and transfer the existing external funds. The transfer is expected to take place at the end of this month.
