Asset manager Candriam has launched the Candriam Sustainable Equity Emerging Markets ex-China Fund that targets growth through long-term sustainability trends in emerging markets excluding China.
The actively managed fund offers exposure to sustainability themes shaping the business environment, including technology and innovation, healthy living, climate change, resource efficiency, waste management and demographic shifts.
Nearshoring boosts investment in emerging markets
The strategy addresses the rising demand and potential in emerging markets ex-China, a region driving global growth and outperforming in recent years. According to the asset manager, the fund invests in companies within this universe, specifically targeting sectors poised to benefit from long-term sustainability trends.
The fund is managed by Vivek Dhawan, supported by co-managers Paulo Salazar, head of emerging markets equities, and Galina Besedina, senior fund manager at Candriam.
