As the European ETF market recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, Funds Europe in partnership with Caceis have launched a survey on attitudes towards ETFs in mind of expectations for the coming decade.
Among other facets, the survey – accessible here: https://onepoll.questionpro.eu/etfsurvey – seeks to uncover:
- Expectations of growth in the European ETF market
- Key drivers of that growth
- Reasons why investors will continue to turn to ETFs
- Asset classes and themes expected to attract investors
- The impact of continued industry digitisation
Responses are being sought from both asset managers and asset owners regarding their ongoing and future levels of engagement.
And as an added incentive, those who take the survey will have the chance to enter a prize draw for a £100 Amazon voucher. The survey closes on 9 June 2026.
The European ETF market continues to grow on its way beyond the €3trn level, as measured by AUM, with some estimates of more than €5rn by 2030. The market is also shifting away from its passive roots. The active ETF segment is expected to grow to $4trn globally by 2030, according to PwC.
It is in this context that the survey seeks to better understand objectives and motivations of those in scope.
