BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has appointed Hagen Schremmer as head of Germany, a role previously carried out by Ingo Ahrens.
Reporting to Charles Janssen, the firm’s head of Northern Europe and co-head of European distribution, Schremmer will be responsible for all asset management activities in the country.
According to Janssen, this appointment is part of a wider strategy to “reinforce and accelerate” BNPP AM’s asset management business in Germany, focusing on areas such as private debt and multi-factor investing.
Based in Frankfurt, Schremmer joins from Deutsche Bank Group where has held various roles over the last 20 years, most recently as head of retail and wholesale distribution for Germany and Austria at the bank’s asset manager, DWS.
Janssen said: “His in-depth knowledge of all asset classes and customer segments will help to increase and develop the awareness of our product range in the market.”
