BNP Paribas Investment Partners, which for years operated a ‘multi-boutique’ structure, is to simplify its organisation and rename its business.
The Paris-based asset manager will be known as BNP Paribas Asset Management from June 1 and target 5% annual growth in assets under management, the firm said, as part of a strategic three-year growth plan.
The organisational structure, governance, operating model and product range are being “substantially simplified” through an “ambitious transformation programme”.
The streamlining of its organisation will also see Theam, Multi Asset Solutions and CamGestion teams, combined under the leadership of Denis Panel, current CEO of Theam.
Among its plans are to increase the focus on individual investors by targeted them with outcome-based investments. The firm will also push more deeply into both active and passive management.
Polarisation of the asset management industry between lower cost passive and active management is part of the driver for the three-year growth strategy, the firm said.
