Schroders’ former head of wholesale for Switzerland has joined BlueBay Asset Management, a specialist fixed income manager.
Stephan Eckstein becomes sales director based in Zurich covering wholesale distributors.
Eckstein spent nearly two decades at Schroders, where he was most recently head of wholesale Switzerland.
His appointment to a newly created position comes as BlueBay seeks to expand its sales presence in Switzerland. In 2018, BlueBay made two other appointments in Switzerland, Renato Aebi and Marc-Hendrik Berthold.
Eckstein will report to Roberto Valsecchi Oliva, head of Switzerland and Southern Europe.
BlueBay opened its Swiss office in 2014.
