UK and Ireland-based active fund manager BGF has appointed Ben Barker as chief investment officer (CIO).
It is a promotion for Barker who has overseen the firm’s portfolio, exit and value creation activity since 2023.
Barker, who reports to chief executive Andy Gregory and will also join the BGF board, will be responsible for overseeing investment activity and portfolio management across all areas of the business.
BGF, which describes itself as the “most active growth capital investor” in UK and Ireland, has announced a number of additional investment team promotions.
These include the appointment of Leo Casey top the expanded role of head of Ireland.
