Axa Investment Managers has appointed a head of ESG sustainability for its private markets division.
Marie Luchet will report to Pascal Christory, CEO of Axa IM Prime, which launched in 2022 to host the private markets fund-of-fund business that Axa Group investment teams have built since 2013 together with Axa IM Alts.
Designed to gather indirect alternative investment expertise from primary and secondary private equity and infrastructure, general partnership minority stakes and private debt, assets under management related to all those activities totalled €20 billion as of the end of 2021.
Based in Paris, Luchet joins from ACA Group where she headed up ESG Strategy for Europe.
Previously, she worked at the Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) from 2016 to 2022, ultimately holding the role of director of Continental Europe. She has also held senior sustainability roles at ECOFI Investissements, CIC Market Solutions, and PSA Peugeot Citroen.
This is the latest development in the French group’s sustainable investment expansion. In December 2022, Axa IM made a double senior hire – appointing Clement Bultheel as sustainability coordinator and Benjamin Jacot as ESG quantitative analyst.
