AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has made a double hire for its Responsible Investment (RI) team.
Joining as ESG analysts are Mariana Villanueva and Matthieu Firmian.
Villanueva is joining the RI team from the larger AXA Group, where she was most recently a credit analyst, having joined the firm originally as a responsible investment analyst in 2018.
In the RI team at AXA IM, she will work on transversal topics such as biodiversity and will also analyse green and sustainable bonds.
Meanwhile, Firmian joins AXA IM from Aviva Investors, which he joined in 2020 as a product manager. He had previously worked at AXA IM as a RI analyst the year prior.
In his current role at AXA IM, he will be responsible for thematic research and analysis on ESG topics, but with a special focus on social themes.
Both Villanueva and Firmian will be based in Paris and will report to AXA IM’s head of ESG research, Virginie Derue. They will also both play a part in supporting AXA IM’s research and engagement projects.
