Aviva Investors and Tiberius Asset Management have launched an actively managed, long-only commodities Ucits fund.
Managed by Aviva’s structured products team, the Aviva Investors Investment Solutions Global Commodity Plus fund offers exposure to a commodity strategy run by Tiberius.
In a joint statement, the asset managers say the strategy uses fundamental and quantitative analysis to determine exposure to the main commodity sectors. These sectors include energy, industrial metals, precious metals and agriculture.
The returns are passed through to the fund via collateralised swaps.
The fund is currently available in the UK, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Finland. However, the asset managers plan to make the fund also available in other European countries.
