Avantis Investors, the investment offering from asset manager American Century Investments, with a new appointment covering Germany and Austria.
The investment manager has appointed Pay Fahlbusch as head of wholesale and ETFs for Germany and Austria. The move comes amid growing demand for Ucits ETFs across the region.
Fahlbusch will report to Richard Adams, head of Emea at Avantis, based in the UK. His appointment marks the third recent hire in the region focused on strengthening relationships with wealth managers, following the additions of Rebecca Bilek-Chee and Robbie Main.

“The response from European investors has been positive,” commented Adams. “Pay has worked directly with clients for several years and his expertise is going to help us reach more people.”
Fahlbusch most recently served as head of ETF Sales for Germany and Austria at Axa Investment Managers. In that role, he was responsible for developing the firm’s newly launched ETF franchise in the region. Prior to Axa IM, he held positions within the ETF teams at UBS Asset Management and DWS (Xtrackers), working with clients in Germany.
