Artemis Investment Management is to launch a fund investing in European equities, excluding the UK.
Mark Page and Laurent Millet will manage the European Opportunities fund.
The duo will build a concentrated portfolio of typically 60 stocks. Stock selection will be the key driver of their investment process, with both sector and geographic exposure playing a secondary role.
“The case against European equities is well rehearsed,” Page says. “Investors are worried, rightly, about the top-down issues and want safety at any cost. But in the process, they overlook the bottom-up opportunities.”
The launch is scheduled for October 17.
