Artemis fixed income fund manager Stephen Baines has left after nearly four years at the Edinburgh-based fund house, a spokesperson has confirmed to Funds Europe.
Baines joined Artemis in 2019, where he co-managed the Artemis Global High Yield Bond fund and the Artemis Short-dated Global High Yield Bond fund, according to LinkedIn.
The funds have been run on a team basis alongside managers David Ennett and Jack Holmes, and the structure will continue in this regard, with Ennet and Holmes now taking the lead, a spokesperson said.
In September 2021, Baines also began managing the Artemis Monthly Distribution fund.
Prior to joining Artemis, Baines worked in the fixed-income team at Kames Capital, prior to which he worked as an associate portfolio manager and analyst at Oriel Asset Management.
Ennett and Holmes both joined the Scottish manager in 2019 from Kames, alongside Baines.
Baines officially resigned last month, according to a Morningstar report.
