Architas has announced the launch of the E.P.I.C Global Equity Opportunities Fund.
The fund, which has a sustainability focus at its core, will allow investors to make ethical and prosperous investment choices (E.P.I.C).
In a media statement, Zaid Alrifai, head of Asia at Architas, said the increasing demand for ESG-friendly investment tools across the world influenced the firm’s decision to launch the new strategy.
He said: “From our cornerstone research report we conducted last year into investor attitudes towards sustainable investing and ESG, we know that the desire for these types of products is growing rapidly in Asia.
“By launching the E.P.I.C Global Equity Opportunities Fund, we are expanding our commitment to sustainable investing and delivering a product that aligns with our investors’ wants and needs.”
The three major themes the newly-launched fund will focus on are digital transformation, health and wealth, and sustainable planet.
The emphasis on sustainable investing as the fund’s objective has allowed it to be classified Article 9 under the European Union Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).
Matthieu Andre, CEO of Architas, added: “E.P.I.C Global Equity Opportunities provides investors with access to a fund that is specifically focussed on a sustainable investment objective, ensuring their investments are being made in line with the highest regulatory requirements in sustainable investing.”
Architas has pledged to invest 100% of the fund’s total assets (excluding cash) in securities which are considered sustainable investments by Architas, based on research conducted by the company.
The fund, which will be made available to investors over 2022, will be led by Seamus Lyon, senior investment manager at Architas.
Architas is a global asset manager and part of the global Axa group, with €31 billion in assets under management.
