Fund platform Allfunds has launched a division to service alternative assets and build business in illiquid markets.
Allfunds Alternative Solutions manages wealth in the alternatives and private markets category, inlcudng Ucits funds and Eltifs. The firm says servicing these vehicles and assets is not new for Allfunds, but previously clients were only served on demand.
Borja Largo, chief fund groups officer, will lead the Allfunds Alternative Solutions team and seeks to drive growth in illiquid strategy services.
To serve a broader clientele, the new division will initially focus on improving operational efficiency for all vehicles, including global structures such as Eltis, RAIFs, UCIs Part II, as well as local ones such as the Spanish FCR.
A team dedicated exclusively to alternative assets was “essential”, said Largo. “We decided to launch the project on the foundation of Allfunds’ success in the traditional asset market, which puts us in a unique position to understand the requirements and preferences of both general partners and distributors of illiquid strategies.”
