Allfunds Bank UK, part of the giant Spanish mutual fund platform Allfunds Bank, has recruited a former Morningstar analyst as it continues its overseas expansion.
Former Morningstar OBSR researcher Chetan Modi (pictured) becomes a senior fund analyst. Modi was with Morningstar since 2006 covering US, UK and global emerging markets equity funds.
His recruitment follows those of Mark Hinton, Anais Gfeller, and Will Jackson who were recruited over the past 24 months from Kleinwort Benson, Lombard Odier and Last Word Media, respectively. A year ago, Allfunds recruited Stephen Mohan from Cofunds, another fund platform, to lead and expand its UK operations.
Allfund’s investment research team now number 14 worldwide, with five researchers in London and nine in Madrid. Since its launch in Southern Europe in 2000, it has established offices in UK and Luxemburg, and has a presence elsewhere including Chile, the Gulf and Switzerland.
Allfunds Bank UK recently announced a “major new client” in BWCI, a Guernsey-based actuarial consultancy.
The platform, which serves corporate clients, has €132 billion assets under administration and offers close to 40,000 funds from 450 fund managers.
