Alain Mandy, a COO and transformation leader in asset management, will join FundsTech Forum 2025 on April 29 to discuss how digital innovation and operational strategy are shaping the future of the industry by 2030.
Alain will participate in the fireside chat titled “Asset Management 2030 – Transformational Change”, scheduled for April 29 from 15:20 to 15:40 in London.
The panel will explore how the asset management sector can evolve over the next five years to become more digitally advanced, efficient, and future-ready. The discussion will highlight key enablers of transformation, including technology adoption, strategic partnerships, and cultural change.
Mandy brings over 25 years of global experience in asset and wealth management, having held leadership roles such as chief operating officer, chief transformation officer and board member at firms including Wellington Management and Pimco. He has worked across six countries, managing large-scale operational and strategic initiatives.
During his tenure at Pimco, Mandy served as executive vice president and head of fund administration, leading global teams and implementing efficiency-focused transformations. His career also includes a decade at PwC, where he advised asset managers, hedge funds and private equity clients in the US, Luxembourg and Spain.
Mandy is recognised for his cross-functional expertise spanning product development, fund distribution, operations, finance, governance and client experience. He is also known for driving innovation through automation, data analytics, blockchain, and, more recently, generative AI.

In addition to his operational leadership, Mandy is actively engaged in ESG and the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation, with a focus on building responsible investment frameworks. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Engineering and Finance and has completed advanced executive education in AI strategy at UC Berkeley and blockchain strategy at Oxford.
Fluent in English, French, and Spanish—with additional knowledge of Italian and Dutch—he brings a global perspective to complex transformation initiatives.
The Asset Management 2030 session will gather senior professionals specialising in organisational change to share their visions for the next phase of industry evolution. Topics will include how firms are using emerging technologies to drive impact, overcome legacy challenges, and future-proof their operations.
