Franklin Templeton has appointed Sven Langenhan as head of Wholesale – Germany, effective 1 February 2026, with responsibilities overseeing all retail activities and driving strategic partnerships across Germany.
Based in Frankfurt, Langenhan (pictured) will report to Christian Machts, head of Germany and Austria.
Machts commented: “Sven’s appointment marks a significant step in our commitment to deepening retail engagement and strengthening our strategic partnerships with leading financial firms across Germany. His breadth of experience, entrepreneurial mindset, vast network and deep understanding of the evolving needs of the German wholesale industry make him an ideal fit for this role. I am confident that Sven will help us accelerate growth and deliver even greater value and innovation as a trusted partner to our clients.”
Langenhan commented: “I am thrilled to join Franklin Templeton at such an exciting time for the firm. The company’s commitment to partnership and innovation is second to none. I look forward to collaborating with our talented sales force to strengthen our relationships and to drive growth across all retail channels.”
Langenhan joins Franklin Templeton from HRK LUNIS AG in Munich, where he currently serves as Generalbevollmächtigter & Leiter Investment Office, overseeing portfolio strategy and client advisory for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. Previously, he was portfolio director in the fixed income team at Flossbach von Storch in Cologne, and before that was at Deutsche Bank in various wealth management roles.
Langenhan additionally has held a role since 2008 as lecturer at the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) – university of cooperative education – teaching portfolio theory and financial markets.
